OK. So, I'm still just a beginner. My 29 gallon is still cycling (but under control with frequent water changes). Population of 6 Mollies (2 black sailfin and 4 Platinum Lyratails) doing VERY well after about three weeks.

But, I gotta tell you, these li'l guys (and gals) are something else. I know it's just an instinctive reaction to the creature (me) that feeds them, but when they see me come home and approach the tank, they all excitedly crowd at the front of the glass and mill around to "greet" me. How cool is that?

Who knew how sublimely satisfying these creatures would be? They're not just fish. They're beings. They're pretty neat. They work some sort of magic on their keepers. And I'm gonna make it my mission to have this "fish-in" cycling be successful with no impact to the animals.

So far, I've been on top of it. And every one is still there to greet me!

Personally I'd rather see my keyholes and tigers barbs just act normally cause every time I walk by they beg... But it is cool to see them react to you.
Yeah I'm the same way. The mollies at work spend about 12 hours of their day crowded in the bottom corner like morons. I just want them to swim through their tanks normally.

Yeah but then there are some cool tanks at work to watch like some african's and bigger tetras like bloodfins or buenos aires.
