has anyone tried using this system to grow thier plants? I have a 10g and I don't want to bother with co2 bottles etc

Does it really work and are you satisfied with the results for what its worth?

I believe this is hagens attempt at milking the high tech planted market. they have cleverly repackaged yeast and sugar and provided a bottle, and a neat little ladder co2 diffusion thing.

You'll still be messing with co2 bottles, yeast that is. You are better off using diy co2, with a 2 liter pop bottle. you'll have money.

I have the hagen thing, it is great. No leaks that are inherent in DIY systems, and the "reactor" is insulated. Once you use up the yeast/baking soda packets you can just buy bread yeast and you Arm & Hammer. Good little setup for $20.
