Do ocellaris clownfish change colors normally? Like from say, orange to a darker, sort of brownish color?

Yes, especially tank bred specimens. In stores A. ocellaris clownfish usually have a bright orange color with soft white stripes, whereas A. ocellaris clownfish that have spent time in a more natural tank environment (possibly including association with an anemone) will gain a much darker orange-brown color with bolder white stripes and black outlines.

also if they perhaps perculas rather than ocellaris they will darken as they mature with the dark separation lines becoming thicker and darker.
