I was at a job interview today, and the lady there had a male and female betta sharing the same bowl. I thought it was odd, but there didnt seem to be an ounce of damage on either fish and they were both eating peacefully next to each other. whats the deal?

They must like each other ;)

I've tried (and failed) to breed bettas, and at one point tried my seriously aggressive male with one female. They refused to mate, but they got along very well and shared the same tank for a week or so. They were a cute couple, until she bit him once and made a big split down his tail. He never went after her at all, even though he was considerably bigger.
