As stated once prior, my angelfish tries to spawn with my discus. They're best pals in the tank, following each other everywhere, they're hardly ever more than 6 inches apart. I noticed the other day, as they go through their spawning behavior, tugging at each other, tossin', and turnin' that later the angel was laying the eggs on filter intake tube. Now technically the discus should be trying to fertilize them, however he just eats them after she lays them. Evidentally he doesn't fertilize them ever, but he gets a tasty treat hehehe, on his best pal. Just thought it was funny as these two get along so well together. It all depends on the individual fish temperaments. I wouldn't trust these fish with anyone but each other.
