Yeah so I was doing a tank cleaning tonight, gravel cleaning, filter cleaning, etc. When all was done and I did a head count I noticed that one of my long bluefin danios was missing. I had 7 danios and now I can only find 6. By process of elimination I actually know which one is missing. It was the smallest of the bunch, thin and a little pinkish.
I guess that either the danio got sucked into my siphon and ended up in the bucket with the dirty water or somehow it got sucked into the jar that I use for refilling my aquaclear 300 after cleaning. I don't see how either would happen as I am always careful with my fish but I guess that it somehow got past me when I was doing the tank cleaning. My syhon has a plastic grid at the end to prevent small fish from being sucked in. + If it got sucked into the jar that I use to refill the filter I would assume that it would just be pumped back into the tank from the filter flow. I am really baffled as of right now.
