Every morning I wake up to plants floating, uprooted. So I decided, while doing my 20% water change, to move some gravel to the side the plants are on. In whic case i had to wreak havok inside, but generally kept things minimal...for a decor change.

Now one of my zebra's is exhibiting signs of extreme stress. He is swimming, belly against the gravel, in the back of my tank, breathing rapidly. Is there anything I can do, or is it best to leave him be?

:( :( :(

That's strange Zebra Danios are very hardy fish and can take quite alot. Is he older? Do you see hime being bothered by any other fish?
Mine race along the bottom all the time. I'd keep an eye on him if he doesn't seem any better or doesn't seem to be adjusting you might try seperating him.

that is a type of disease, maybe something with the swim bladder? im not sure which type of medication to suggest to you, visit your lfs and ask, a qualified individual should be able to tell you the meds to use.

Bloat?!? that is something dogs get after eating a large meal of dry food, running around and coming back and drinking a lot of water. The food swells uo to fast and releases gases that causes the stomach to twist aroound and cut itself of from everthing. A very dangerouse thing that only large breed dogs get. (especially Greman Sheperds and Rotties)

Do fish get another kind of bloat i don't know about??
