I've got a 48 gallon hex tank that I've had to re-seal two of the seams on. I was scrubbing some of the algae off the walls, using an algae scrubber for glass tanks, but I'm reluctant to scrub the algae off the silicone seams because I'm afraid it might start a leak. Any thoughts?

If there good and you just fixed em it should be totally fine. I and many people have done it. Now if it was hold and really ready to leak and cracked.. And you put some force into it.. could shake back n forth and after some time could break a leak.. But for now Id say totally fine..

Thanks! The leaks I had were because of other things that punctured the seams; the razor blade I was scraping water stains off with, and the other was because my cat liked to dig her claws into the edge of the tank as she was watching the fish. Here's hoping the scrubber isn't as hard on the seams.
