Old Metal Frame Tanks

My parents gave me their old metal framed tanks with slate bottoms. Which i have no plans on using. Anybody think they would be worth something to an antique dealer or Ebay even?

Probably not, I dont believe that fish tanks are exactly a collectors iteam. I guess it would also depend on what the quality of the tanks were, plus glass tanks now a days are pretty cheep and dont hinder viewing of your aquarium. They might be worth selling to someone that has some sort of buisness or science experiment involving different situations, like breeding and classifying different aquatic enviornmnets. You may get someone on ebay looking for that stuff, but an antique dealer? I dont think so.

those tanks are awsome for oscar breeding! try to sell them locally. any oscar breeder would pay good $$ to get slate bottomed tanks. they are hard to find and very well worth using. just seal the tank op with some fresh black silicone and you have some high $$ tanks. if you were closer, i would drive down to get them.

yeah thats pretty much what I meant, Look for specialists and guys who do that sort of stuff

The tanks are two 5's and a 20. Probably wouldn't do so well with oscars. Maybe the 20 if it was just a few little ones.
