OMG, can someone help me find this fish

Cynotilapia afra blue reef

So far my tank will be, "unless someone thinks I shouldn't for some good reason, advice please".

Yellow Lab
Red Zebra
Cynotilapia afra blue reef "if I can find"

All i can get ahold of locally is Cynotilapia afra "cobue orange back" and Cynotilapia afra "green Mbweca". I've looked online too.....no one carries them.

Very nice fish indeed, but hard to find. People over at Cichlid-forum.com are looking too but with no luck.

wait a minute. thats what that fish is called?! I have one of those!!! I'm serious, well I hope it's the same one. I was at my local fish store and came across a tank labeled "African cichlids." I told the guy I wanted the blue one and once I placed him in my tank, he/she looks beautiful. I'll post pics when I get home.

You indeed have a Cynotilapia afra, but as to which strain.....idk. There are a few different strains of Cynotilapia afra out there. But for the most part they are sold Under just Cynotilapia afra or "Mixed Africans".

that is an awesome looking fish. try contacting Russ Utslers at http://www.russutslersfish.com/ he can usually special order rare or hard to find cichlids.
