i know this isn't the plant section...but i just wanted to share...
HOW INCREDIBLE ARE REAL LIVE PLANTS...??? :):):)

transformed my tank and made my fishies mucho happier...
[now lets hope all my green stuff survives... :)]

i am amazed at how much better the tank looks...
and now there is more 'cover' ... the fish have had a confidence boost...
and even my loaches are more active...i see them all the time now...

i'm doing all i can to make sure the plants grow and stay healthy...
it may require some effort...but totally worth it...

when it's all sorted...i'll post a pic...
gotta say...I'M CHUFFED TO BITZ...real living planties are the shizznitt ... :)

Careful man, you may very well end up having to explain the missing 500 bucks from the bank account to the Mrs. LOL

They are addictive, and I wouldn't have it any other way, they look positively awesome.

Live plants ARE the shizzle! Of course, if you know me, you already knew that. :D It takes a good while to learn what you need to know in order to grow them well, but when you do (along with a substantial investment of $$$), you'll discover an entirely new obsession.

I've got a gooder and gooder to share as well! I finally beat my long-term algae problem, and my plants are growing like gangbusters once again! I've got 6 rare species on the way, and found a really nice Crypt wendtii "tropica" plant today. Those are tough to come by 'round these parts. Yay! Now if I could only find some fish...ah phooey...I got plants!

cheers guys...thanks for all the ''yay's'' ... :)
great to hear we're all in a 'yay' streakk ... :):)

so far my plants are still in potts in the tank...
tomorrow morning in goes the heater cable...
a new top layer of substrate/fert mixx...
and they get planted for real...

i'm watching like a hawk to see if i need more lumens...
i only have 1.5 wpg truth be told...
i can bolt on more lamps if need be...

i'm totally committed now to growing plants...
i know my wallett will suffer...
but better that than my fish...'waah waah waah' ...[musical trumpet noise]... :):):)
