good experience or bad...

for those of you who order stuff online and those of you who dont right now but are thinking of it...

I would sure like to know and i think that others may benefit from this also...

list a link to a site in here if your merchandise was a quality product, or if the fish was everthing it should have been...

(if not against this sites policy) I think it would also be beneficall for possible warnings about sites also since there is alot of crime and other bad stuff on the interenet....

I have heard only good things about BigAls, but I have never had a transaction with them.

The only place I have bought from on the net besides Ebay, is a place called www.petwharehouse.com I receive a catalog from them every month and there prices seem to be in the same leage as BigAls. I bought my Emporor 400 and Ebo Jager heater from them, and it was very smooth. I was satisfied.

I trust these guys (drs. Foster and Smith) because I have been recieveing there catalog for years, and they always care about the animals. Also they run www.Liveaquaria.com I like this site because they tell exactly where each individual fish comes from.

as amazon tanks said i like www.ffexpress.com too. I have never bought any fish from them, i use their site for info. their prices are a lil high for fish, and you have to buy $30 worth of fish to have them send them too you. I have bough snails from aquabid for dirt cheap. Also i got my puffers from there. If you email the person selling them and no one else is bidding they will often just give you a price for them and sell them too you outside the auction.

and for my thoughts on petco.com here is my thread entitled "Damn Petco"

I jsut bought a ebo heater from big al's, took longer then i expected to get here, but is perfect in every other way. Except they have a lot of broken links for pictures on that site. Personally I think the pictures are critical when purchaseing items online

Big Al's does have the cheapest prices.
and as long as they fill the order correctly you likely wont have a problem

they totally screwed up a very large order that I made, and left out about half of the items.

it took me 3 weeks of phone calls and speaking with apparently EVERY manager to get the items sent to me.
basically every manager I spoke with said they would take care of the issue and send me the missing items, but they never would.

essentially BigAl's was trying to say that I had received all the items and was trying to scam them.

turns out, one of their employees stole items from my order and a few others.

I never received an apology.
they didnt even overnite the missing items to me. (took 5 additional days)
they could have at least thrown in some free fish food or something....

This was my first time ordering from them, and I doubt I ever will again......
