if u need small amounts of LR then LFS should be the best place to get them.

theres this one site that has free shipping on LR if u buy the 50-100 lb packages. lol comes down to like $2.25 per lb shipped.

Well, none of my LFS carry live rock and stuff other that PetCo, so I'm probably getting a lot of thing online.

you gotta do a lot of searchin. Took me a little bit to find a lfs over here with live rock. It may be a little out of the distance but it's worth it to know what you are getting IMO.

I'm wondering what you're going to do about livestock, are you planning on getting that online, too?

I have heard alot of good things about tampa bay liverock. i was looking through the hitchhicker section on the site and some of the hitchhickers people have gotten are pretty cool.

I can say that I approve of the liveaquaria rock; it did come with a mantis which foiled me for a while but I caught him eventually.

I don't think I will be ordering as much online as I thought I would. Looking through the Yellow Pages, I found 2 stores that apparently specialize in fish. Each are around 10 miles away. I'll have to check them out.

You make me jealous. There are mainly only freshwater stores around here.

thats probably because its so dam hard to keep them alive. especially large quantities and each many have a special needs.

random thing...is it illegal to go to the bay just grab like a piece of coral and put it in your tank? (thats if they survive the trip back)
