orp monitor?

i was at my lfs when i came across a device that was called orp monitor.theassistants where all busy and the box that the product was in didnt iv any info on what it does or is.all i know is it is an orp monitor.can someone please help me figure out as to what it is.

I am not for certain but I believe it may be a monitor that tests ammonia? Just another gadget that you do not need. Do water changes regularly and the ammonia won't build up. Simple as that. Btw, I wouldn't trust anything that the box can't describe what it is used for. If it doesn't even state a logical use for the item then chances are you do not need it!
