My buddy inherited a 5 year old male red devil. It's about a foot long and he has it in a 55 gallon right now but thinks he can't take care of it. Any suggestions on how to find a good owner for it? Also, if we were to sell it how much do you think it could fetch?
i dont think it would fetch too much, as they are a dime a dozen around here....but i dont know about there.
you could post an ad at your LFS and see if anyone is interested in him.....most people will take a free fish over one that they have to pay for (duh) so if you are desperately trying to get rid of him you may try that.

You could also try a local fish or cichlid club, to see if anyone wants it. Or post it on fish boards under the sell/trade areas. You could try www.aquabid.com as a "pick-up" item. Aquabid might also have a similar fish for sale, so you could scope out prices, if you're lucky.
Without knowing the lineage of the strain you probably wont get much for it, most red devils are midas/red devil crosses so breeders willing to pay top dollar will only buy from a good source, but then again not everyone wants them to breed
