Hi

Im new to this forum and i am looking for a little help. I have recently purchased a tiger oscar from a local fish store who had it took in to them from its previous owner. The oscar had a lump under its bottom lip and a small discolouration on its eye. 5 weeks later the lumps have become bigger and i just cant identify what they are.

The oscar is swimming fine and feeding fine everyday, its very aggressive to my large catfish. I think the oscars sight is still ok as it soon spots its food as soon as its put in the tank. I have attached a few pictures below.

Has anyone got an answer at what this could be? Can it be treated?

Thanks in advance

Look like growths, could be viral, if they are tumors I don't think there is anything you can do. Maybe someone else will have a better idea

Thanks for that,

I've been told today by a local pet shop that its cloudy eye. I have been told to treat it with MELAFIX ANTIBACTERIAL SOLUTION. Im hoping this is going to clear it up.

Well yeah it could be cloudy eye, the reason I didn't say that is because the bump on his chin looks almost exactly the same. And to me it doesn't really look like cloudy eye. Another thing that could cause cloudy eye is parasites, which could be responsible for the bump also. I have had no experience with cloudy eye so I cannot say for sure.

Here is a helpful site I found about diseases, has lots of photos.
