Oscar stress or sick?

Ok i jus got a red oscar today about 2inchs long. He went straight to the bottom and is now in a corner, the oscar is kinda moping around. He looks some what slugish. Is he stress or sick?
what should i do?

stressed out from the move probably - leave the light off for a day or two - don't mess about with the lid - he'll soon settle down once he knows he;s safe where he is

Yeah, just sounds like a little stress to me. Like purple said give him a day or two to get used to the new suroundings and he should come out of it.

I used to have one that would hide when anybody new came close to the tank. He would run under a rock untill they left. If someone he knew came up to the tank, he would rush to the glass to greet them. So despite there potential size, I really find them to be big babys. But I love em!

ok s0o0o its jus stress right cuz i don't want this lil guy dying on me. And one more thing, it doesn't seem like he can stay up rigth either, like he kind floats to the side a little bit then straightens up again. is that ok?
and what should i do if is still like this tomorrow

nm guys i jus got too carried away my lil oscar is fine. He jus gets all scared when i get too close. But he is eating and swimming around. thanks for the help guys

Ya they get scared cing new things in new home. Once they know the geography of the tank they'll tend to tk over it cruising around. Nothing to worry at all.

What size tank do you have the little guy?

10 gal and he loves it in there. Once he is bigger tho im gonna switch him to my 50 gal and get another small oscar and raise him.
