other foods for kuhlii loaches

i was just wondering about other foods kuhlii loaches will eat / enjoy other than sinking wafers? maybe like zucchini, cucumber, blood worms, ect?

they arent very picky. they'll eat about anything. flakes, blood worms, algae wafer... i guess whatever you want to feed em.

Shrimp pellets, anything you feed your fish that hits the bottom, etc. I'm not sure if they're real fond of veggies but it doesn't hurt to try.

I would love to feed my kuhli's some blood worms, what is the best way to go when buying blood worms (frozen, freezedried etc) and how do i go about sneaking these treats past my tetras?

If you put the bloodworms in after the lights are out, there's more chance of the kuhlis getting them. Tetras are pretty heavy sleepers, and tend to go to sleep as soon as the lights are out. Kuhlis stay awake at night, and will go searching for food.

I think the kuhlis would also enjoy frozen brine shrimp, but you don't have to get both brine shrimp and bloodworms, one or the other is fine.

i have frozen brine shrimp and the kuhlis always know when they are in the water(they stick thier little faces out of their respective caves) but they never get a chance at any. If i put the brine shimp in at night do you think they would make it to the bottom and ultimatly in my kuhli's bellys?

They should. I would wait about 10 to 15 mins after truning off the lights, then add the shrimp.

feeding Kuhlis

Have you tried squirting worms or shrimp into the bottom layer of the tank with a turkey baster? I must admit I've never tried it, but I've read about others having success with this technique.
