Dag nab freaking new Oto's have the wonderful Ick. I just noticed it tonight. Got them at LFS and now the reciept has just exspired. I am tempted to flush them.
I have 2 oto cats (ick infested) and 2 zebra danios, 2 endlers/guppy mix. I am going to get meds tommorrow. I have no hospital tank. I have a 10 gal, it has a Whisper filter. I have increase the temp. Anything else??

Thanks! I could scream. I have just gotten my tank at perfect health, ph, nitrate, ect... now this... I am ready to give up

I'am not sure but i would also like to know whats going on with the oto's i just got on Saturday, i brought them home and the next day i saw one laying on its back, with not much color. It was breathing but it wouldn't move. So i wonder if this is Ick or not?
But the same thing happened to my sisters oto's.

Don't Panic! :)

There are about a hundred threads in this disease forum about ich, with plenty of good advice on treating it.

Otos can be a little hard to acclimate when you first get them. I don't know that they are especially prone to ich, but any kind of stress (such as coming home from the pet store) can cause ich symptoms to appear. :)
