do anybody else's ottos eat the flake food they put in? yesterday i actually watched my fish eat which i hadn't done in a while and i noticed that the ottos were going just as crazy swimming around looking for flakes as the other fish and they were actually gobbling them up when they found some. it just really surprised me i'd never seen them do that before. and is it true that they like groups? i know ive read that but they never seem to hang out with each other.

I've never had my Otos eat flakes. What a sight!! My Otos never stay by each other. They go off and do they're own thing. They only group together in a stress response most of the time. It all dpends on their personalities.

At times, my otos have eaten live blackworms, frozen bloodworms, and sinking shrimp pellets. Not often, thoough.

As far as hanging out together, mine are always together. If one goes off to a new area, at least 4 or 5 will follow.
