I just installed a 280gallon and it has 2 overflows one at each back corner. The problem is the right rear one keeps sucking air and sounds annoying. Is there a simple fix anyone knows of?
durso stand pipe (google it) often solves the sucking problem...ive never had a system with dual overflows, but i would wonder if the air issue could be a result of one of the overflow pipes being longer than the other
I have an overflow box that made a godawful gurgling sound. I managed to muffle it by placing a folded hand towel over the outer part where the water flows to the sump. Perhaps something like a foam block could work much the same way.
Thanks guys I sovled the issue just fixed it. I had the sump way over filled. I lowered the level and the sound has stopped. I also ended up putting the pump in the sump at a angle to put the intake futher down it had started to suck air when i lowered the level. seems its a careful balance with a sump set up.
