OXYTETRACYCLINE

#1
Help.
I have got a problem with one of my old Angels.
Have gone through the usual medications and I am now going to try Oxytetracycline.
Does anybody know the correct dosage?
I have a feeling that it is just old age but if I can save her it would be good as she lays in excess of 300 eggs at a time. 8)

I looked on about 20 sites.

I found lots of products with tetracyline in it.

I dont know what the oxy part is.

Is it A CAPSULE?

Almost every capsule I found is  1 capsule/10 gallons.

This was a 3 day dosage on most brand names.

HTH

I hate when my fish get old..and they start getting those problems. Sad as you kinda get attached to the old guy.

Oxytetracyline is an antibiotic (well Antibacterial/antiprotozoal) of the tetracycline family, although they are related, the dosing may be different. In human medicine, the dosing is about the same between the two drugs, so I don't expect a difference for fish. 250/mg per 10 US gallons (37/l).
