One of my yellow tang turns very pale. It's still swimming around but likes to hide behind the rocks most of the time. It's still feeding but minimal.
What's wrong? All my other fishes are doing fine. Is it down with some kind of illness? :(

Yes, I'm battling high nitrate. However, I've 2 yellow tangs and this is the only that's behaving in this way in the whole tank. There's no agreession since it's the largest in the tank and it goes hand-in-hand with the other yellow tang. This tang has been with me for more than a month with no problem.

How big is the tank. How much live rock. How much algae. What are you feeding. How much water circulation.
Yellow tangs need lots of swimming space, good oxygen content and space to avoid aggression (which you may not be seeing - your fishes behaviour will change when you're there). Any of these are wrong, aswell as a good algae rich diet, and yellowing and problems might occur
