I'm really curious about paludariums, now that Val and Paige are both setting them up. As I plan on upgrading my 5 gallon to my friend's old 20 gallon high sometime in the future, the idea of an amphibian/fish setup interests me. I would like my female betta and mystery snail, along with some ADFs in the aquatic part. As for semi-aquatic and terrestrial species, I'll have to see which are readily available at the pet store. I've read that most newts and salamanders need cooler temperatures than what fish require. Also, some newts and toads have toxic skin. What would a betta and/or ADFs be compatible with?
