Panda Cory?

Yesterday was at LFS and bought what was labled Panda Corys for my wife for our one year anniversary.( I am the luckest man in the world. ) Been checking them out on the internet, and none of the pictures I have found of panda corys match the corys that we have.

They have the markings on the eyes, and dorsal fin, but lack the one on the tail. There bodies also have little dots on them, and are darker in color from the ones I have seen on the net.

Mights these be a hybrid of pandas? That is what i am thinking, as I have been unable to find any pictures of exactly what I have. I have been unable to get a decent picture yet, but I'll keep tryin!

This one is a little better.

I am not a betting man, but I wouldnt put money on either the Ornatus or Agazissi. While both are very similar, they lack the pattern and spots of the ones I have. This could very well be due to the fact that they are not fully mature yet. One is 1.5in, other 2in.

I belvie that it is a c-82. Very closely resembles it. As you can see on the above pic, the larger of the two corys has more black on its head than the smaller one and the ones on Ian's site. Also, my two have a larger band of black on the doral fin, covering almost the entire fin when compared to the c-82.

So many choices, you may never know for sure... but it is not a panda!!

True, very true. But my wife is happy with them, I am happy with them, and they seem happy and healthy so Im not complaining!

hehe, gotta love a woman who likes fish as a gift!!!
