I'm worried about my Betta. I know I feed him too much and I'm starting to avoid that. He's a bit chubby according to bettatalk.com. I see a little bulging stomach But the sides near his stomach are starting to get a little big. I'm afraid this might be an early sign of Dropsy or something. Could he just be fat? Maybe he was always like that and I just now noticed. Wish I could get a picture up.

It sounds more like constipation. You might want to not feed him for a couple of days and see how it goes.

dropsy is when the scales stick up like a pinecone.
