when i get my tank re cycled and everything and it's all ready to go im planning to go cichlid.. can you mix peacocks and yellow labs because i've been looking into them.. any input? i know to avoid the same color of them because it can make the peacocks aggressive so any input would be nice. thanks

When I had africans, I had peacocks in with my yellow labs. Labs are IMO, the most docile africans out there. Peacocks are also pretty calm, so should make a good mix. For numbers though I'm not sure.

Generally its not a real good idea. Again speaking generally, theres always exceptions, peacocks are less active/aggressive then Mbuna. This presents problems sometimes with territory and especially during feeding.

That being said labs are one of the more "docile" mbuna. I personally keep a few peacocks in with my Mbuna and havn't seen any problems. Having done so with personal experience i'd say yes, others will say don't. A lot depends on how the fish react to the mix.

Actually, most people will tell you to go for it. Labs are the one mbuna that can typically be mixed with Haps and Peacocks without any problems, because of their more docile nature. I've seen it done a million times ;)

would it be okay to get rocks out of a creek and clean them off or how should i go about getting rocks
That's exactly what I did to get the rocks I've currently got in my 55 gal. tank. I brought my two 5-gallon water-changing buckets with me to a park area by a nearby creek and grabbed 3 bucketloads of them. After I got them home I just rinsed them off in the kitchen sink. Scrubbed with my bare hands. Worked out great.

Good luck!
