What can you tell me about this fish? Preferrabilly from Experience with keeping it.
full size? algae eating? anything

I'm thinking about ordering it (with other stuff) from azgardens.com to go in our 37 gal (Central-South American to contrast 55gal Asian barb tank in same room) with an Angel, 4 sunset platies, 6 marble hatchets, 3 emerald catfish, & 3 cories.

Sound do-able? Too much?

Well, the fish they have posted on the azgardens site isn't the same as other L103 I saw on planetcatfish.com. The one shown on azgardens looks more like a L015 (candy stripe pleco). You can also do a search on Peckoltia vittata, which will probably give you more results. From what I can tell, there are all kinds of different ones sold under the same name. Whether you get a L103 or another L number from azgardens is a tossup.

I have a couple of P. vittatas, and they are great little fish, although they are pretty shy. They're not big algae eaters, and require driftwood. Ours like shrimp pellets.

You will probably find a fair amount of info on www.planetcatfish.com and some more info from owners here: http://www.aquahobby.com/gallery/e_peckoltia.php

Nice fish, should be ok, mine ate a lot of driftwood and not much algae and never came out, even compared to my other L numbers.
If you buy anything from those guys get a pair of Aphy. gardneri killies at the same time. Even though they're out of biotope they're great looking, and easy to breed.

Alright, I regained my self-control & backed off from ordering for now to research future (plants as well as fish).
(Big Al's Online & a lfs just got too much of money anyway)

Now Wayne, you've got me VERY interested in those killies!!! (damn! where can I keep them... 5 gal w/ the sparkling gourami???)

They are ideal small tank fish. I started with a pair in a 2 1/2 gallon bowl with a heater, piece of wood and some java moss in a sunny window, and routinely pulled out 5 to 8 smaller ones. 5 galls would be perfecto. I have nothing but good to say. Just make sure you keep the diet a little varied, and beware, some are a bit inbred now so watch out for bent spines.
