Anybody here ever used petrified wood in their aquarium?  And how much do you think it usually costs for a small piece of petrified wood.  Ebay has a lot of petrified wood for really cheap and they would look nice in the aquarium.  I read that petrified wood is mostly silica and shouldn't effect pH at all.
Oh BTW, if you were to bid on ebay, tell me and I won't try to outbid you. HEHE.

Yes i have used petrified wood in a tank and it seemed to be ineffective in the water it was jest like putting a rock in their but i dont know others might have had different situations with their petrified wood but as always i would sterilize it befor adding it, some petrified wood come from watter (the pressure of the watter can turn sunk logs or any peice of wood for that matter into a peice of rock)  well good luck and IMO it looks good so go for it
