My pH levels are crazy I tried to lower them but a few hours later they where back up. Do I need to take the filter out to lower the levels. If so what happens when I put it back in. Also my water is really cloudy and not clearing up. I can't get my pH below 7.0. Should I take my fish out and start all over. I got a master test kit to test for pH, ammonia, nitrite, genral hardness, carbonate hardness. I dont want to be doing to much at once to the tank. It is a brand new tank, about a week old. (I never had this many problems with my black tip fin sharks. From a tank I had a while back. They grew so big so fast and they was always happy active and eating well.) These angle fish are so much more different.

STOP ADJUSTING THE pH! You're just making things worse - angels DO NOT REQUIRE A LOW pH.

Your tank is uncycled, your fish are now very stressed due to the fluctuating pH. And are probably seriously hurt by the ammonia and high nitrite levels.

Read up on the nitrogen cycle, stop screwing with your ph, and your tank will settle. I will however predict that your angels will not survive the cycling of your tank. I would recomend immediate water changes (twice today at 25% each) Tell us Ammonia and nitrite levels before and after water changes.

also 2 angles in a 10g is way too small. those two fish should be in a 30g at least imo.and yes if you introduce the fish slowly then you will not need to change your ph.keep it as is and they will adjust. and andy is right they probably will not survive the cycle.
