I have had fish for several years. At the start i was all into checking the levels and once i stopped killing fish i kindof stoped bothering. If it aint broke.... Anywho with all the reading i have been doing i got the test kits back out. I noticed my 55 with no plants and one piece of drift wood has a ph between 6 and 6.4 similar to my tap water. My 20 quarentine however has a few plants no drift wood and a ph of 7. My fish all seem somewhat fine but seeing as how i have actualy been using the quarentine tank to introduce new fish i would like to minamiz the shock. any thoughts?

again, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Never fiddle with pH, unless you're injecting CO2 and the Co2 is what is doing the fiddling.

a drip acclimation method is good enough for a pH drop of 7 to 6.2
