After recently buying a testing kit, I tested the tank I have for ph levels, nitre, nitrate and hardness. All but the PH came back normal. I then tested the tap water and some water I have to change the tank with.
My question is by doing a few small changes over a few days will this help out to reduce the PH or will adding a PH buffer be more prudent to bring the level down. The tap water was 7.4, the tank water was higher at 7.8 and I know these are high for the fish I have.
Also would changing the water twice a week be better to lessen shock : i.e instead of 20 liters at once do 2 x 10 liter changes. Thanks for the help*thumbsups
