My new V. synspilum, which was a pleasant surprise considering I bought it thinking it was probably a hybrid. She's very dark because she's over black gravel, but I'm considering moving her to another tank over sand to lighten her up.

She's about 4", so just a baby still. I have no idea if it actually is a female or not, so I'm just gonna call her a her until I know for sure

I really like them, unfortunately they aren't common in this part of the world I don't think. This is the first vieja I have ever seen in person (well, and the other one I left behind at the store), and the only reason the store had them was because a customer apparently brought them in. They had no idea what they were, obviously.
