Man, people just love to experiment don't they. I guess, once the kill each other, then they will finally learn. Poor bettas, always the subject of one experiement or another. Wish people would just wise-up.

It took me only a few minutes to learn the basics when I started out, and I had no urges to try something that might kill my new fish.

Where did you get the pic, Dizbjohn? Maybe it's a promotional photo like those silly ones on the sides of tank boxes that have 5 fantail goldfish in a 2.5g tank? You know, something a company did for like 5 minutes to take the picture. If so, it's not a good example of how to keep fish.

actually if the tank is over 100-150 gallons, that is to say, long enough for a tall man to lie down in, then male Betta Splendens won't fight. Even if they come into contact with eachother, they will just flare up and receed to their territories. If the fish each have like three square feet then they don't really care.
