Here are some pics of my LT Plate Coral and my Xenia. There doing great and I wanted to share them with ya'll. I hope you like!! *SUPERSMIL

I'v got a couple of questions: I post a pic of a rock in my tank that has all of a sudden turned white. I think that it might be a sponge but I am not sure. ??? Also if you look at the pics of the Xenia, do you see that flouresant stuff? What is it? It glows when my moonlight is on. Help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch.

The chunk of white ish rock looks like it is just coraline algae that has "bleached" died! stuff should grow on it again eventually

Well died is not a proper term for bleaching but it can be a resolt of it.

Many factors can cause bleaching ie. stress, sudden changes in water chemistry and stuff like that.

Also what is your calcium levels in the water? An what is your lighting like?

Mhh never seen coralline turning orange fluo. Usually it's pale or with white dots when it's dying.
I had some probs with coralline fading when my Calcium was too low.
Looks like a sponge, your orange thing

The coralline has died because it doesn't like your water or lighting.

The fluorescent stuff is sponge. What lights do you have. I would be wary of algal overgrowth killing the fungia.

I have a CoralLife AquaLuar Light (48 in.) 260Watts. I have tested my Calcium and I dont have anything to test it with right now. I am taking a trip the the LFS and I will let ya'll know.
