here is the tank the day we set it up
the lighting was horrible

so changed the light and added more fern

then added more rock only later found out this was a bad idea

then added the bog wood

then decided we wanted it to look a little more natural we would of loved a planted aquarium with natural substrate but it would have to be stripped and started again and we didnt want to go through all that so this is what we ended up with and were both happy with the outcome also wanted to have some hiding places for the fish

comments and suggestions welcome also would like to hear if anyone liked any of the other set ups better thanks for looking

Actually I disagree, I really like the set up and when the java fern grows in (will go MENTAL when established) I think the impact of the mass of leaves will balance the other side.

As I said before, your barbs will look great in it :) And even if you don't like the substrate that much I think they'll really stick out against the white. Good luck!

x2. You've done a good job. I'll really be drolling once the moss and ferns fill in more.

The only thing I'm not a fan of are the marimo balls, but that's just a personal preference thing.

Overall, good job. *thumbsups
