I'm bored, so here goes...

Female salvini (I'm still gonna look for the older/larger one I left at the LFS which was closed today).

Not bad coloration, but I think the older female sal is much more robust.

Some redeye tetras

Male Convict

Here's the nameless fellow...

He's actually closer to the back of the tank, but you can still get an idea of how the black-widow tetras are getting bigger.

These next few (no flash) are kinda dark...sorry.

I'm pretty proud of this guy already...he seems to have a lot of promise in terms of developing into quite the specimen.

Compare the two males, and you'll see that the one I'm keeping (on the right) has a noticeable beginning of a hump on his forehead that appears to be developing. Excellent color on the one on the left, mind you, but I'm still opting to keep the one on the right.

I sooo wish that this pic would have been in focus...still shows his shape though. I think he looks good.

Those cons have some mad color, i've thought about getting another pair myself....but i just can't find the right ones. If i get them i want them to be the best, and to have the best genes so i can breed for things like size and color such as that.

Again, good looking fish!

Thanks for the comments.
I'm actually going to leave all 4 convicts in there for several months (2 males; 2 females). I just may end up finding a way to keep the other male...even if it has to be in a separate tank...they're both keepers!

Virgo...lol...the crays should be ready to ship before the convicts (matter of fact, there are some others the size of Jerry that I think oughta ship just fine right now!), but I can still send you some cons once they're ready to be shipped too. That way you can add to your current stock (that's on its way, right?) with some stunning male genetics so you can breed some of your own as well! :D

LOL They're not on their way yet... Jess is letting them settle since they were so stressed, didn't want to add the stress of shipping and end up losing them... that, and I have to move things around to get the tankspace.

If I had the cash and tankspace right away, I'd say ship me some crays! :) But I'd really like to get moved downstairs first. which hopefully will happen within the next few weeks... it keeps getting put off for one reason or another...

But I am DEFINITLy up for some babies from either one of those boys! :D
