Just tryin' out the new cam, here are some shots of the planted tank and some wild africans from Lake Malawi. caught the dialeptos and the trev chinunu's myself.

beatiful fish, do you use flash when you take the pictures? how far away do you hold the camera? what settings do you have your camera on?

I am still playing with the settings, I am about a foot away from the tank, put the camera in manual macro mode, flash, shutter speed 1/50sec, continuous shooting mode I figure if the camera takes 30 shots one or 2 will turn out.

hm try getting within 2-4 inches of the glass, at an angle, sit and take pics slowly until you get like a 100 then go see what you got, i usually take about 100-150 and get 1-3 great pictures

Great pics. very sharp. Mine always seem to get some kind of reflection or are very dark.

What are the plants at the front of the tank? (the short grass)

How are those ansorgi gouramis workin out for ya? I did some quick googling just now and they seem pretty mean. How are they acting towards the other fish in your tank? They sure do look cool.
