what is the best way to shoot pics of the fish???

Just my suggestion, use lots of lights so you can use a fast shutter speed and no flash since they're behind glass.

Lights off in the room (pics are best taken at night, right before or right after feeding time), lights on in the tank, no flash. You'll find that for every good picture you get, you've had to delete at least a dozen that were crap.

I would add that its best to turn filters off as moving water will distort the images some. Also, the best range is within 3" of the glass you are shooting through.

I use the 'Aquarium' setting on my camera Also, no lights in the room and lights on in the tank.
