I was home sick today so i thought i would upload some new pictures of my cichlid tank. Let me know what you think. Also, I am thinking of adding 1 or 2 more cichlids, because i had to bring my saltwater fish back to the lfs they gave me a credit so i might put that towards some new cichlids, not sure if it is a good idea but let me know what you think i should add. I am thinking that I want something more rare in the tank. Not sure if it is rare or not but i was thinking of a black eastern or Cynotilapia sp. "Maleri".

Here is a tank shot

My Red Top

Frontosa

what i was told was a yellow lab

Maybe someone can id this guy, i was told he was a rusty cichlid, but not to sure anymore. Oh fyi the blue/purple one.

The one above this looked like this guy when he was a juvi

maybe a better pic of the one to i.d. top left

Milo- Your tank looks great. But I have to ask, from what I heard, for cichlid tanks, you need a lot of rocks and hiding places. Each fish should have its own place to run and hide at night. The pic you posted along with many other people I've seen on here, you all have a lot of fish and very little stuff...
(now i've always had an unexplainable problem in my tank) Could having to many rocks be a problem?

as for your fish suggestion, I always look at liveaquaria.com they have some neat fish on there that you don't always see (but again, I have no idea how they ship fish).

Hey Kephren01,

Trust me, at night you can't even tell i have fish in the tank, they all have their spot and for any who don't they make a spot underneith the rocks by pushing the gravel out of the way.

Thanks I will check out liveaquaria now. I am still not sure if i am gonna do it due to space.

He's a pretty good fish, I got him off some guy I know, there was a big thing about putting malawi's and a frontosa together, but honestly, he is fine, they don't even bother him. I did however get the frontosa to be a little bit bigger then the other fish, you can't really tell now though from their size.

*BUMP*

No one knows what sort of cichlid that is... come on everyone, take a look, my husband bought him at pet center back in march, i went back to see what sort of cichlid and they have him labelled as a yellow lab.

Anyone know.
