I use an older (now) HP PhotoSmart C200 camera, it's actually my 'shop' camera (for the jeep obsession) But it seems to get used for other things too Good enough to get the job done, cheap enough that I dont mind when it falls in the mud or fishytank (well ok, I might freak about the fishy tank, electrocuted fishies bad!)
Check out www.epinions.com for some really good advice
I use, when I can get it, a Sony Digital Mavica MVC-FD81 still, this camera is about 4 yrs old, so, I don't know if there still around very often, takes great pics! was 500 dollars in its new day so, prolly pretty cheap now...
No, Mavicas are still really expensive, but that is because they are really good digital cameras. Many of them come with CDRWs and can even take movies... I have a measly Cannon PowerShot A20, but with a small amount of tinkering and a lot of experimentation, I have been able to get some good shots. With the right editing software, you can also fix pictures with poor color saturation or improper contrast. The best way to do it is to turn on all the lights in a room that won't reflect on the glass and turn off the flash on the camera. Then you can get really clear pics. Here are some of the ones I have taken with my camera
