Hey everyone,
Just a quick & friendly question. Do you think it'd be alright in a 55 gallon aquarium, which has hiding places and plants, for a medium sized pike chiclid and a slightly smaller royal pleco. to coexist? Thanks a million, and have a good one!

Define medium sized.... but I think you'd be ok for one to 6 to 8 inches in lengh.

Gernerally I found if they couldn't eat it they ignored it. Beautiful fish tho', and so many new species, examples coming on the market right now. Some of the 'dwarf species' , less than 6 inches in lengh would be a great choice for you.

thank you wayne*thumbsups
and by medium sized i meant in comparison to the pleco who is about 3inches TOPS right now, so id say the pike itself is about 3-4 inches. Not very large. Thank you, and if anyone can suggest some other fish that would compliment the requirement of space that pertains to the Pike and the Royal Pleco, that'd be great!

I have a pike about 5 inches and a royal slightly bigger and have never had any problem. I agree with the comment above that if they cannot eat it they leave it alone. Mine has never shown any aggression. Those two fish are in there with 2 Dempseys. No one seems to bother anyone else. They have been in there for about a year together.
