Pikehead Gourami

One species of anabantoid that I'm really into is the Pikehead Gourami....

Anybody ever keep these fish or have any fishtales about them.......

I hear they're very finicky about their water parameters and food...........

Luciocephalus pulcher

Size - up to 18cm

Only live food, such fishes and shrimps. Food from the bottom or water surface is not accepted.


Predator, but peaceful to other fish of the same size. Can be kept in groups.

These fish look like mini Nothern Pike..........
