Hey guys , recently been getting irritated by this pink fluff that comes out of my filter outlet, every time I turn it back on there is a surge of this pink fluff that comes out of the filter outlet... Today I thought I'd shake the outlet hose a little and there was tonnes of it coming out.
Now I have two filters and this only happens on the fluval 305. Not the fluval 205... Which is weird, the only difference is that the 305 has a spray bar on it...
My theory is this, the recently killed Cyanobacteria has somehow got past all my filter media and accumulated in the ridges in the pipes and when a sudden surge of water is present it forces many parts to dislodge...
And ideas?
