Hi All

My wife and I are avid scuba divers, which is what started our 2 s/w tanks. No all's good and up/running.

I just have a question here. While diving, you'll find a lot of plants in the ocean. Are there any plants I can put in our s/w tanks?

Any input is appreciated!

some grasses such as turtle grass etc and some plants but not that many. Most people grow macro algae some of which resembles plants in either their main dispay or their refugiums. Some examples are shaving brushes and halimeada

There are some people that do "planted" saltwater tanks, as Lorna says, usually with macroalgaes. You would need to be careful about the fish you keep.

Have a look at some of the tanks at Reef Central in the macroalgae section, there are some beautiful ones. I was browsing there the other day, and made the mistake of looking at someone's "planted" seahorse tank. I guess that's now a long-term goal
