plants growing in new tank, mysertious

i set up my 75 gallon it's been up for probably 4 weeks now and theres only 3 baby fish about 1/4 inch and i'm about to add 12 baby sailfin mollies that i got for .50 ye sonly 50 cents that are about the length, i have driftwood and flouritre and pea gravel in the tank and i have a ton of plants growing realy only about 6 so far, but theres more popping up eahc day, what could they be, there very weird, it's cool i didn't have to pay for them

Most likely offshoots from your other plants, they are reproducing! Congrats!

wait...do you have any plants that you intended to be there? if not maybe it something that came in with the pea gravel? did you re-use gravel from an old tank which could have had something?

Nope this is all new gravel, etc.... there were no plants in there, they just popped out of no-where

The plants don't happen to be something like staghorn algae

better hope its not staghorn algae.... i'm pretty sure thats what took over my tank recently, it became SUCH a pain... been trying to pluck it from the tank, but you can never get all of it out any suggestions on how one would rid themselves of the staghorn algae? also, what would cause the growth of that algae over the more-readily occuring algae?
