Plants...?

OK, I have 2 questions,
1. can I mix fake plants with real ones...? Will that disrupt my aquarium
2. I put bulbs for real plats in my tank...and my gups keep taking bites out of them, will they still grow?

1. You can mix fake plants and real plant. It will not disrupt your aquarium.
2. I'm pretty sure they would still grow, I can't see why they wouldn't.

you can definitely mix real and fake plants, but you should be very selective what real plants you choose, as some need more light, CO2, and/or nutrients than you may be providing.

Are the bulbs from Wal-Mart? They commonly sell bulbs for tiger lotus and apogneton. They are pretty dense (both the bulbs and the Wal-Mart employes), so the guppies nibbling at them shouldn't have an effect unless they are nibbling at the new growth
