It's been a while since I've posted, but I think that's mostly because things have been going well with my tank. : )
A while ago though I noticed one of my mail platy's tails was slowly turning red, and I internet-diagnosed it as some sort of fungus. I treated the whole tank with a few different anti-fungal remedies for about two months and it didn't seem to get any better. It wasn't getting any worse and seemed to stop at just his tail fin, and he wasn't acting any different, nor was it spreading to any other fish so I decided to just let it go.
This past week I've noticed a female platy of mine's body is changing from blue to a kind of yellow/gold. I'm not sure if its related to the red fins or what.
I know goldfish's color changes as they grow just from watching my goldfish, but I wasn't aware that platies did this. Do platies do this or is something serious wrong? I can get some pictures of anyone thinks this would help diagnose the problem, but I don't really have any from before the changes, and I almost feel like just seeing the after pictures doesn't really show that anything is wrong because the fish don't look "wrong."
Help?
