My betta hasnt been acting normal the past couple of days ... hes usually pretty active, and swims up to the glass to see me. But the last few days hes just been lingering at the top.

He hasnt eaten the last couple of times I've fed him. He has also been breathing oddly.

He LOOKS perfectly fine ... except the last hour he is laying on his side at the top. I cant see him breathing, he looks dead, but when I tap the glass he moves.

I know its probably too late, but if anyone has any ideas how to save my beloved betta I would be very happy.

Temperature is 75*F, I got him in January, he was smaller at the time. He last ate about two days ago.

I dont know about the water perameters, I recently moved and are yet to unpack my one and only test kit - I dont know where it is :(

Hes still hanging in there ... mostly on his side but occasionaly going the right way up.

Raise the temp, that may help. Betas like their tanks warmer than that, at least 78. My tank started at 75 degrees and my beta always hung out in the corner till I raised it.

He might just be cold. Hopefully. Raise the temp, then get us those parameters!

I hear what your saying but I just dont think hes floating on his side cos hes cold ... hes lived at that temp happily building bubble nests for the past 10 months. Plus it was 95 degrees here today!! So during the day it probably was a bit warmer than 75.

Its not you I'm just paranoid about raisng the temp. ... some people might remember a few years ago I had a heater malfunction and go too high killing off a whole tank of gouramis, cats, and my beloved angel :-(

It sounds like something is up with your water. The params might be off, he might be stressed, or something may have gotten into his water during the move...check the water ASAP is my suggestion.
