does anyone know where i can get these? they're hood starters, and this is what is keeping my plants from growing! i've looked at all my local hardware stores, and they dont have these, but have any of you ever had to get one of these?

the type of starter is FS-U, and it looks pretty ancient, but will i need to get the same exact one? or could i get like a FS-22h (my brothers lamp starter)?

I've seen those ballasts in walmart.

Very odd that hardware stores wouldn't carry these. You might be able to check some of the chain stores like Lowes or Home Depot or even Walmart for them.

What you want to look for is to make sure that the new starter is rated for the bulbs that you have. It should say on it what wattage of bulb it can handle.
